# Subscription, Pricing, and Account Management

This guide covers everything you need to know about Teslemetry subscriptions, pricing, and managing your account.

## Subscription Overview

Teslemetry uses a per-product subscription model. There is no separate base subscription — you only pay for the Tesla products you want to access.

### Subscription Components

| Component | Description |
| ---- |
| Vehicle Subscription | Required for each vehicle you want to access. Provides near real-time Fleet Telemetry, streaming via SSE and webhooks, and Fleet API access. |
| Energy Site Subscription | Required for each energy site (Powerwall, Solar, Wall Connector) you want to access. Provides site data updates every minute and history updates every 5 minutes. |
| Command Credits | Optional pay-per-use credits for vehicle commands, polling, and wake-up requests ($2.50 per 2000 credits USD). |

See the [pricing page](https://teslemetry.com/pricing) for current per-vehicle and per-energy-site rates in your local currency.

**Important**: Each vehicle and each energy site is billed individually. You can subscribe to any combination of vehicles and energy sites — there is no flat platform fee.

## Common Questions

### How do I subscribe to Teslemetry?

If you do not have an active subscription yet:

1. Visit [teslemetry.com/login](https://teslemetry.com/login) to log in with your Tesla account
2. Go to the [Subscription page](https://teslemetry.com/console/subscription) in the console
3. Click **Start New Subscription**, select your billing cycle and the vehicles and/or energy sites you want to include
4. Complete checkout through Paddle

If you already have an active subscription, changes are made through the **Modify** section instead — see the next question.

### How do I add a vehicle or energy site to my existing subscription?

1. Go to the [Subscription page](https://teslemetry.com/console/subscription)
2. In the **Modify** section, toggle on the vehicle(s) or energy site(s) you want to include
3. Click **Approve Changes** and complete the checkout process

Each vehicle needs to be individually added and must have the setup steps completed, including installing the Teslemetry virtual key for modern vehicles.

### I switched cars. How do I update my subscription to the new vehicle?

If you have replaced a vehicle in your Tesla account:

1. Go to the [Subscription page](https://teslemetry.com/console/subscription)
2. In the **Modify** section, toggle off the old vehicle and toggle on the new vehicle
3. Click **Approve Changes** and complete the checkout process
4. Complete the setup for your new vehicle, including:
* Installing the Teslemetry virtual key (for modern vehicles)
* Configuring telemetry fields if desired

Note: Subscriptions cannot be transferred between Tesla accounts.

### How do I cancel my Teslemetry subscription?

1. Go to the [Subscription page](https://teslemetry.com/console/subscription)
2. Click **Cancel Subscription** in the **Details** section
3. Confirm the cancellation

Cancelling prevents your subscription from renewing at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access until your current period expires.

You can also remove individual vehicles or energy sites from your subscription in the **Modify** section without cancelling the rest.

Note: If you have purchased command credits, they will remain on your account even after cancellation.

### How do I update my payment method?

1. Go to the [Subscription page](https://teslemetry.com/console/subscription)
2. Click **Change Payment Method** in the **Details** section
3. Update your payment details through Paddle

## Account Management

### How do I delete my Teslemetry account?

To permanently delete your account and all associated data:

1. Go to [teslemetry.com/delete](https://teslemetry.com/delete)
2. Follow the instructions to delete your account

This action immediately ends your subscription, removes all data Teslemetry holds about you, removes any remaining command credits, and cannot be undone.

### Can I transfer my subscription to another Tesla account?

No. Subscriptions are linked to a specific Tesla account and cannot be transferred between accounts.

### How do I revoke Teslemetry's access to my Tesla account?

You can revoke Teslemetry's access at any time:

1. Visit [auth.tesla.com](https://auth.tesla.com)
2. Find Teslemetry in your authorized applications
3. Revoke access

Note: Revoking access does not cancel your Teslemetry subscription. You should cancel your subscription separately through the console.
